Week 9 - Wed 20th Nov 2019
So today I meet Tam Holt at Irlam train station when I was coming back from a cousin's lunch at Worsley. Mum had to drop me off at Irlam train station so that she could pick her pupil up from Irlam. On the way there I bought my train ticket on my phone but it needed charging so put it on charge in the car. When we got to the station I got out of the car and when went in the tunnel under the station. On the platform on the other side I wave to mum and she left. Not realising until it was too late that I left my phone in the car that had my ticket, DAMN!
So I had to think quick on my feet so I went over the the other platform where the cafe was and saw some traffic officers walking around and I asked them if I could borrow their phone, they said 'No, as these are our work phones but there's probably someone inside the cafe that could help'. So I went into the cafe to ask someone, I was scared to ask the bar tender so I sat down on a bench then saw a woman sitting down on her blue cased phone, near a fireplace, with a dog snuggled between her and the single sofa chair.
So I thought she looked nice effort to help me and let me use her phone to ring my mum to come back with my phone. The woman said she would let me which made me soo happy, so I called my mum's phone and she didn't answer as it was a random number. Then I rang my phone which she answered, as she realised I left the phone, then said she would bring it back as she wasn't far away.
Whilst I was waiting for my phone to arrive I had a conversation with this woman and found out her name was Tam Holt. Her dog was called Bertie and was a Maltese and was such a cute dog. After the greetings we started small talk about our lives to find out that we were both interested in animation.
We started talking about animations she loved to watch when she was a child which I had never heard before. The animations were:
1. Ulysses 31
2. Battle of the Planets (G Force)
3. Mysterious Cities of Gold
4. Spirited Away
After she told me bout the animations she like I told her about the new animation made in Toom Boom Harmony called 'Klaus':
And she said she never heard it, probably because its a new recent film on Netflix (I've not seen it yet but should be seeing it in December as Johny [my lecturer] said it was great for animators). Also I told her about Brian Trueman from Meet the Puppet Master [that was on 2nd Nov 19 - Click LINK to see Post about it] and told her about him being a voiceover for Stiletto in Danger Mouse and Nanny in Count Duckula which she was very interested in.
Before I left for my train we accepted each other on Facebook and became Facebook friend to suggest animations between each other.
