Last semester, I was developing each month's 11 second club (between October and January). But animating a 3D rig to an audio in 30 or 31 days stressed me out too much. So I came up with an alternative self-directed project of creating a snow globe. I always loved looking at snow globes in the physical world, the glistening glitter moving around in the water when it's shaken.
So I'm going to model the snow globe base in Maya. The techniques I will find out how to great a glass texture to see the objects through, a bump map for texturing the objects, finally learn the visual effect nParticles for the glitter inside the globe.
