Box Odyssey Pixilation

[FIRST YEAR] Introduction to Making of

Covered today:

Editing the Box Odyssey

These past two weeks I've been editing the box odyssey pixilation from the footage we filmed in week 5 (maybe also week 6, where I started editing). In week 7, I finished editing the footage together and started making the intro and credits in after effects. In week 8, at the start of the lesson I finished creating the motion graphics of the intro and credits. Then I started adding sound with Patrick using the website soundsnap.com, which has free copyright sounds that the University pays for the license.

I really liked making this Pixilation video. It was great to put my editing skills from last three years course to good use. If my group had to make this video again I would get them to take more photos for each movement to slow down the video in editing or when I was editing the video I could of used copys of each photo to slow the video to see the movement more clearly. I really enjoy the use of the sound effects me and Patrick choose. The motion graphics of the title and the credits are really effective. Well done to James and Braydon for the camera operation. James was a very good director for getting the best action out of his actors (Patrick, Me, Shabbz and Owais) and Bobby was a good producer of the whole video when standing up to be the director when James was acting in the shot. With the teamwork of the whole group we came out with a very impressive piece of video (being called a grade 1st by Annabeth Robinson). Thank you for that comment it made my day and will make me work hard to get all future productions to this standard of a grade 1st, which I want at the end of this degree.
