Planning for the City Brief

[FIRST YEAR] Introduction to Creative Play

Today I still had the flu but I told David the situation and he kept me in the loop by keeping me up to date with what they were doing over Facebook messenger.

They were just doing research on global warming to get a picture  in their heads what a city may look like after many years. So I sent them a picture of what London would look like after global warming being flooded. So I search London Global Warming on google images.

Then I sent them a picture of China after global warming being full of smoke that I suggested would could be made out of cotton wool that we could make grey.

David thought that would be interesting. While I was off ill Mark (media teacher) gave our team the name Global Warriors. I really liked the name, it was very clever.

Chris wasn't in the lesson also, today but I don't know why. Hasan said he might want to change to our group. David thought that would be good.

I wanted to change Hasan for Chris or Jordan. While Connor and David was researching Jordan was on Maya.

I was wondering what Jordan was doing in Maya and asked if he was modelling the four characters. If he wasn't doing the work in Maya, I would ask him to switch groups with Hasan but it wont happen.

I also sent the Global Warrior a picture of Egypt under global warming covered in snow.

I suggested that we could make snow using cotton wool with glitter in it. David said they were thinking of just using two cities: one of London flooded and one of Singapore in a drought so with my help giving the picture research it helped to get to a decision of what city/cities we are going to do.

I wasn't quite sure how the team was going to do a drought for Singapore. Then David gave the the answer to a previous question about Jordan saying what he was doing and he was modelling the people so it was all good. Chris said he'd be drawing a base for us for the city which we will build on Thursday.

David say him and Connor would be going out to record some city ambience then they would be done for the day, we'll be building the city next week with me (if I'm not still ill). Connor said he would document the things we do, as Mark said a person has to do that.

From my previous question about the drought, David said just the image I sent them of all the dust and dried up stuff will be good for that. David got the wrong end of the stick because the china image wasn't a drought it was China full of pollution and smoke but never mind I will till him that the next time I see him.

David and Connor is going to ask again next week if our team can get a projector and if our team can't, we'll just have to spend more time customising the two cities.
