Tom Box

Tom is the Co-founder at Blue Zoo and after 20 years ago, he continues to be a driving force throughout the company helping the studio stay ahead of the game within the industry and with the workforce; volunteering on many initiatives to help the next generation of artists from all backgrounds break in and move up in the animation industry.


Rosie Summers

Rosie is a 3D animator and Virtual Reality Artist, working at XR Games which recently released the title; Angry Birds Movie 2 VR: Under Pressure. Rosie often does public speaking, VR hosting and masterclasses at prestigious events and festivals, and continuously wows audiences with live VR art performances for numerous high profile clients such as BBC Studios and Youtube.


Phil Stewart 

Phil is Head of Realtime at Blue-Zoo, researching, developing and testing new technology and workflows to help the studio achieve it’s ambition of working in the best ways for the benefit of the business and artists. From researching rendering tech and programming a VR-puppet in Unreal Engine, to doing push-ups to test a new Motion-Capture suit, the department strives to stay ahead of the game.


Rafi Nizam

Rafi is a multi-disciplined, Creative Consultant & Media Executive, influencer and thought-leader in XR Spatial Design with 20+ years in Entertainment and Technology sectors.  His career includes art direction for advertising agencies, leading creative at Sony Pictures, developing children’s TV at BBC, Global Creative Director at NBCUniversal and subsequently Global VP Creative for Immersive Entertainment at NBCUniversal. In the latter, Rafi led Creative Innovation, Strategy, Narrative Design and Visual Development across traditional and emerging media with a focus on Animation, XR, Real-time and Virtual Production.

In parallel, Rafi is an award-winning independent Animator, Illustrator and Character Designer. So, alongside the management and executive path he has always nurtured his craft as a hands-on creator.

Now an independent Consultant, Rafi blends his executive experience with his love for hands-on visual storytelling to transform the origination, production and distribution of CG content to be more democratised, creator-friendly, collaborative and efficient.

Through his consultancy, Rafi introduces spatial design workflows which empower creative teams to visualise ideas, sell-in concepts and reach their audience and customers in ways they never could before.
