Before we chose what brief we wanted to work on the whole class researched both RSA briefs
(Change is Necessary & Interrogate the truth).
One thing that was apparent during this process was that it prompted active discussion among the
cohort. This generated positivity and it helped me develop my own ideas, which can be something
this is challenging. So from this perspective I found groupwork stimulating. One challenge that did
occur was with the Change is Necessary brief, as all of us found the text within it confusing.
This was one area where we need professional support and from that we became aware of the
greater flexibility within the brief and that we had been approaching it too rigidly. This could be a
good learning point for the future where a brief has the possibility to be approached from a more
creative thinking aspect.
