Team Roles

[Semester 2] Exploring Collaborative Practice

Hannah & I couldn’t make into the lecture room as I wasn’t feeling well with a migraine and felt faint
and Hannah had a really badly pulled muscle. Jenny suggested that as not all of the team were
coming in that everyone should just talk to each other using Microsoft Teams, as this would at least
mean that all of us could effectively communicate with each other.

I suggested on Facebook messenger group chat that I could be editor; Hannah said she could be the
character/asset designs and storyboards. So, this part of the process was quick and easily resolved
between me and Hannah. However, none of the others in the group added to the chat, which was
disappointing relative to group adhesion.

The roles we ended doing are presented in the white text box above and at first everyone settled
into these roles, but then some took over other roles due to some absences.

Daniel said he was adding the roles and priorities in the whiteboard during a lecture on Job roles in a
team (that I missed due to illness). Finally, Daniel said just add anything you like to the whiteboard
(that is where I felt he wasn’t invested in the project as he was just leaving it to everyone else and
not taking as much responsibility as he could have, especially as this affected the cohesion and
productivity of the team).
